Longs Peak Ascent Certificate
Commemorate your climb up Long's Peak with this custom souvenir certificate.
Fill in your name as you want it on the certificate along with the date of your climb, the time and traveling companions. We’ll print your information and frame your certificate before sending it to you UPS Ground.
The artwork for each mountain was created specifically for this project, so you will be receiving a unique commemoration that is only available as part of our series of 14er certificates.
We print each certificate on acid-free 38lb card stock. We will frame your certificate in a made-in-the-USA frame. Each certificate comes with our Mount Holy Cross foil seal of authenticity.
Longs Peak quick facts:
- Long Peak is the only 14er in Rocky Mountain National Park and the only 14er on the Front Range in northern Colorado.
- Summit: 14, 259 feet.
- Longs Peak was named for Major Stephen Long, who, in 1820, is said to have been the first American to see the peak.
- Other names include "Neníisótoyóú’u" which is Arapahoe for "The Two Guides", "Highest Peak" and "Les Deux Oreilles" which is French for "The Two Ears". The name was given by French fur traders to Longs Peak and the nearby Mount Meaker.
- In spite of the difficult trails, Longs Peak's location makes it one of the more popular 14ers for climbing.
- The first recorded climb up Longs Peak was in 1868 by John Wesley Powel's survey party.
- On average, two climbers a year die trying to summit Longs Peak.
